Hopefully more firmly than that! In the 40 years since Roe v Wade it has seemed that it's settled law but it looks like the SCOTUS may be looking for an excuse to reverse it. Nothing it seems lasts forever.

On the contrary. They're so sure of victory (because of "Trump Derangement Syndrome") that they figure they'll push the limits while the opportunity is greatest. We wouldn't be seeing this if any Republican other than Trump was president.

I'll agree with you that Trump seems deranged but I don't think Biden's statements have anything to do with that. He has been a proponent of so-called "Assault Weapons Bans" for most of his political career, it's nothing new. But I don't think he actually believes such measures will be politically feasible; this is just red meat for the base IMO.

I guess before this thread is locked, I'll just say that Joe is already toast and is not going to be the dem nominee much less president.

Poor Joe, I am not sure....he is the most middle of the road guy they have....any...and I do mean ANY of the others will carry new york and LA county and nothing else....they are just too far out there.

It is all going to come down to what the dems think their "base" wants vs. what they think has a chance. Not saying this to be political or mean or anything but I think Joe just does not have both ores in the water anymore.....I just don't think he is all there.....his past health issues will do that to you.

It is going to be interesting if nothing else.....and a live debate....that will be TV worth watching.
