Just 2 handguns?

This has probably been done before so if it has just bear with me. If for some reason the government were to say you could only own 2 handguns what would you choose and why? For me personally I would choose my g27 to fill my carry and SD niche even HD. Night sights, 10 rnds for carry, ability to take bigger mags for HD if needed. 2nd would be a good revolver. Currently have a Ruger sp101 .357 that doubles as a carry option. If only allowed 2 I would probably make it the GP 100 with at least 4'' barrel for a good HD, woods, in a pinch hunting handgun. One semi and one revolver for me. What are your 2?

BTW pics are always welcome if you got em.

I would really hope that if the government imposed a 2 gun limit it would start a war.

That said, to answer the question

Easy... my Kimber Pro Carry .45ACP and the 3... er, ahem... my CW9 that I have.

Granted, I answered the OP's question... but, like some others, most of my pistols have already been lost in a terrible boating accident.

Well, I can currently own as many handguns as I like, but I still only have three:
Glock 43 9mm
Ruger LCP .380
Ruger SR22 .22LR

If I had to give up one, it would be the LCP.

It would be a GLOCK 42 for concealed carry and a BERRETA 92 Vertec and I would cheat a little by getting a .22 conversion kit for the BERETTA.

For me it would have to be the same two guns I have always carried - a .45 1911 or a S&W .44 Spl. revolver. I haven't found anything better yet. I will never own a polymer or alloy gun. Ever. Give me heavy metal or give me death......

Just two would be my 9mm Shield for CCW and 5906

For me it's tough to forgo the utility and robustness of a single action .357 Ruger. Make that a convertible 9mm, and I'd feel pretty good with that set up.

Depending on my mood, I would pick my second gun as a SIG P320 in 9mm for the modular options or a Mk IV Ruger for plinking/game.

For long time I would have chosen a Ruger sp101 in 22 LR and a second in 357 mag., but now I have been favoring a Ruger SR22 and a Ruger EC9S.

Everyone is entitled to their game. One that I play out in my head - a “what gun would you choose” game is actually based in reality.
When my wife finally retires , we have promised ourselves a three month or so tour around the USA. My game is...what guns will I bring on the trip.?
Two or three will be handguns. My .44 SBH is going. My Colt Gold Cup is going along with a Nelson .22 RF conversion. Long guns....that is another thread.

It's kind of up there with "If your house burned to the ground and only had time to grad one thing you care about, what would it be?"

My carry gun which also resides in my night stand . 3"Smith wesson model 60-15

My latest woods bumming/hunting companion black hawk 44 special

Maybe. Though my Dan Wesson VBob is my favorite gun and last I'd sell if given the choice.

For this exercise I'd pick my EDC 226 Legion SAO and a 10mm 1911, likely a DW Valor 5", maybe a Bruin.
