Took my Ruger American 9mm out yesterday. First, I was shooting a mix of Winchester white box and PMC FMJ's. Ate out a nice, small hole out of the target. Switched over to Blaser brass. Target looked like an improved cylinder pattern-at least 4 X the group size of the others!

Then I loaded up my 1911 9mm with the same Blazer brass. Again, a nice, small group resulted.

Interesting that a change of ammo can make that much difference. Interesting that the Ruger did NOT like the BB but my 1911 liked it just fine.

I would just advise that you check your group size on any new, differently branded ammo you decide to use to be sure your gun is satisfied with it.

Sure makes for a good excuse/reason for range trips. Not much fun just burning powder and throwing bullets if the gun doesn't like the load. It looks like play but it is serious stuff. Once you find "the load" you stop wasting time and money.

First thing I do with any gun I buy is run several brands and bullet styles through it to see what it likes and what it doesn't like.

Not only does this seem to be a smart thing to do, on a practical level, but it's fun, too!

Bought this "highly frangible" ammo. My SIG hated it. Would not feed properly, eject, yuck.... The ammo was also labeled as accurate; but who would ever be able to get off enough rounds to be sure? Not me out of this pistol.....

I have not shot PMC or Blazer but have shot WWB , PPU and Federal with no noticeable difference in accuracy with the RAP9
