Hey everyone, my friend uses this forum quite a bit and he encouraged me to post the TDE Model 160 .357 Automag I just inherited. I believe this is the same as .44 Automag (Model 180), but it is outfitted with the alternate .357 (Model 160) barrel.

I was wondering, where would I find the serial number? Also, I'm more of a revolver guy and not much of a collector; what would be a fair valuation if I was looking for a trade?

This is from my old Blue Book (32):

TDE Noth Hollywood .357 AMP - two line address, there are no factory records verifying this caliber and most were assembled with spare barrels. Prices start at $1850 for 100%, $1600 for 98%, and $1450 for 90%.....etc.

Hope this helps.

That is going to be a true collector's item so I'd baby the heck out of that pistol. Automags were not known for their realiability as they had some serious quality control issues but I believe that was mainly with the .44 Automag. Maybe the .357 is not so bad? Anyhow, that would by a pistol I stick in the safe and don't shoot nor touch, just let it sit there and collect dust and continue to rise in value. JMHO of course.

Is this the same company that manufactured the AutoMag line of paintball guns that were extremely popular in the late '90s? It looks extremely familiar, almost as if they could have loosely modeled one of the paintball markers after this very pistol.
