Anyone else have this happen to them?

The slide stop broke in half. Looks like it was MIM. Kahr sold me a replacement and I am up and running again. I just hope something similar doesn't happen to a more critical piece of the gun.

Mighty nice of them to SELL you one. Years ago I had a Sig with a plastic guide rod. I asked if I could buy a SS rod. They just sent me one at no charge.

From what I recall, one of the advantages to their higher quality guns is the lack of mim. For example the PM series has few, if any, mim parts. While the CM series has mim, or maybe just more mim....

I'd be interested to know what model your part came off of. I have never had any parts break on any of my KAHR's but I do only have the PM series guns.

For the record, I don't mind paying for a broken part on a product that is out of warranty, especially if I didn't pony up for higher quality model.

It does appear to be from one of their economy CW or CM models.

Those CW/CM models have the lever made from MIM, however the pin isn't MIM

In normal usage, there isn't a lot of stress in that area. Were you by chance pushing on the lever while trying to reinstall the Slide Stop pin?

The broken slide stop is from a 1st generation E9 series gun. I was at the range and the slide closed after the last round in the magazine. When I looked at the gun, the slide stop was broken.

Kahr did not ship me a replacement for free. I had to purchase it for $24.50 plus about $8 shipping.

Crappy customer service, IMO. But par for the course with most manufacturers today. Cheap parts & a "Too bad...buy another one" attitude. And, that cheap part is overpriced.
