Kel Tec folding carbine?

Does anyone have one of these Kel Tec folding carbines? I handled one at a gun show today and was surprised by how compact it was when folded. This would easily fit under the seat of my car. Are they reliable and accurate? I used to have an Uzi and it would out preform any pistol at 50+ yards. This might be just the thing in a SHTF situation. As I understand it they come in 9MM and .40 and use Glock magazines.

Pistols are pistols, and rifles are rifles. I could personally run rings around most competition pistol shooters who are using pistols, at 50 yards, with a Sub2000. There is really no comparison in terms of stability, sureness and speed of followup shots, and pure accuracy and precision. A pistol is more convenient to carry and quicker to present in close quarters, but that's where its advantages end.
 
I have the 9mm model that takes glock mags. I will second the reliable and accurate part. It is very fun to shoot, everybody that has shot mine loved it, especially with glock 33 round magazines. They make models that accept mags for Glock 17 & 19, Beretta 92, S&W 59, and Sig 226 too.
 
They don't often like aluminum cased Blazer ammo, but I like mine in 9mm.

It allows a non-shooter to hit a 50 yd target.
 
I want one in .40 S&W that takes S&W 4006 mags. They claim to make 'em, but I've never seen one for sale online. ...Or anywhere. Is Kel-Tec just teasing me?

i recently picked up one in 9mm that takes glock 17 mags -- LOVE IT. it really is fun to shoot and the accuracy is about as much as i could want, for what it is.

though i'm sure others can do better, on my first outing with cheap wwb range ammo i was getting ~2.5 inch groups off-hand at 50 yards, which was good enough for me. for my purposes, it's naturally not a target rifle, so practical accuracy to "hit what you can see" is what i'm going for, and the sub 2000 definitely performs. easily breaking clays out on the berm or making cans dance is absolutely possible. my next outing i'm looking forward to trying it at 100+ yards, where most people still report very satisfactory results.

i also picked up some of the accessories from tacticool and keltec -- all very affordable (cheap!). if you pick up the soft case from keltec, you can easily have the gun plus 67 rounds of 9mm (1x17 round mag in the gun, 1x17 round mag in one of the mag straps, and 1x33 rounds in the other mag strap) ready to go in a relatively tiny package.
 
Don't own one, but I have read a lot of favorable reports concerning them. The greatest thing about them is that you can fold it up, stuff it in a briefcase or day pack with a handgun and half a dozen mags, and nobody would know the difference.
 
how much speed do the rounds pick up out of the longer barrel?
 
I've got one in 9mm that takes Glock mags. Mine has the folding scope mount with a shotgun scope on it.
It's one of the coolest guns I have. You can have a scoped carbine in a gym bag. With a 32-round mag!
KelTec specifically warns against aluminum Blazer ammo because of the design of the action, but with any brass ammo it shoots well. According to KT a 9mm gets up to around 1400 FPS (which is up into Magnum territory).
It's accurate, reliable, and fun.
It is also plastic, lightweight, and easy to clean.
You just don't want to use it as an impact weapon.
On the 50-ft berm there is not a pop can that can hide from it.
Everybody who sees mine wants to shoot it and winds up liking it.
