Kel Tec P3AT Belt Clip Assembly

I just purchased a Kel-TEC P3-AT and decided to get the belt clip accessory. The instructions state that I must remove the rear frame pin with a hammer and punch. I have been trying to do this for about 30 mins and that darn pin will not come out . Is there some secret to this?

That pin is TIGHT, but it does come out. Just be sure to support the frame well in an appropriate vise and use as broad a pin drift as will fit...

I've used a 2x4 with a hole drilled in it and lay the pistol flat with the pin over the hole like shown here:

I've never used the belt clip but have read that there may be reliability problems if you screw it in too tightly.

Use locktite on that screw - you don't want it getting loose.

It's a lot easier if you unload the main spring first.

DO NOT tighten the clip down to tight...there have been reports of reliability problems with doing so...

Get it snug and test fire it...if it goes boom the way it is supposed to then loc-tite it down...

exposed triggers....grrrrrrr

I just hate those things BTW
