We have on at the range to rent out. It is a lot of fun, small, light and affordable. It is a rental so it gets shot a lot and the only issue we have ever had with is was the front sight. Someone messed with it and it took forever to sight back in.

I don't own one but have some experience with my brothers 9mm. I've only shot it indoors at short range.

Bad points
1. Trigger pull was bad - as in like a staple gun (Maybe this 1 gun not all sub2000's)
2. Sights aren't so great
3. Cheap/nasty ammo seems to go right to your nose when fired indoors.
4. It looks like it is weak where it folds - however this is just my opinion.

Good points.
It is very light & concealable because it folds. It will fit in some weird places. If you get one you will end seeing if you can hide it some unique places. Any newbie can pick it up & shoot better than they could with a handgun - even with the trigger pull & sights. The sights are funky but the gun will group well. The worst thing about the sights is the adjustments. Recoil is not bad. I have a friend with cancer & he can't shoot certain things, but he likes the Sub2000. Compatability with your handgun ammo & mags is good thing. The pistol round is supposed to gain from the increased barrel length. The price is not bad unless it went up recently.

Depending on your usage & expectations it could the perfect weapon for you. It is a bit of fun. I can also see where someone could hate it. It is what is it is so to speak.

If you have any other specific questions maybe I or someone could elaborate.

Later,
WNTFW

I have over 7000 rounds through mine, and have broke two bolt handles. One phone call to kel tec and it was at my door within 5 days. I reloaded all the rounds that went down the barrel and never cleaned it enough, the way I abuse it its done remarkable well.

The trigger is hideous but I got use to it. The front sight looks cheap and plastic, and it is, but it works great all the same. You'll eat a little smoke when shooting indoors, that's why I loaded TMJ bullets and practice proper breathing techniques, I can hold my breath for a glock 30 round mag.

I would buy another in a heart beat, wish they had one in 45acp.

Have one in .40 cal. It's a great little gun. Have never had any malfs. with it. It's loaded with a lot of accessories. Check out KTOG and look up the sub2000 section. It's loaded with lots of sub2K porn to get your juices going.

It is what it is. A little bit crude with the sights and trigger but once you get used to it you'll find it to be a pretty good shooter. It's neat, it's different, it's fun and it's very reliable. If your looking for something that isn't main stream, this is it.

subbie

it took my s&w 9 a couple hundred rounds before it got the bugs out...it has been fine since... i put a cheap laser on it, what a blast to shoot indoors...it feeds with mecgar, s&w, and national 30 mags...gpr

many pros and cons, steel tube is uncomfortable on the face, very hard on lefties, very dirty, totally suck front site for adjustment, get the glock mag ones.
super light, can add all kinds of stuff to hang on it, with just a little enginuity,
plus parts from keltec, good out to 100 yds.
