This is my second post, so I should really say hello first! I've been reading THR for three years now. Thanks for all of the fun late night reading material.
My Eclipse Target II has been completely reliable for the last 1,200+ rounds, and I have three Kimber magazines. I picked up a couple of boxes of 230 gr Fiocchi FMJ recently, and I am getting a consistent fail to feed on the last round of one of my magazines. I noticed that the follower on 2 of my 3 mags (one stainless 7 round, and the blued factory 8 rounder) are flat and look like most 1911 mag followers. The third problem magazine, a stainless 10 shot, has a follower that is convex rounded. I'd post a pic, but my camera batteries are charging
The last round hangs up the slide, and i believe just touches the ramp. I am wondering why Kimber designed the 10 shot mag this way. The floorplates looks welded, so I think that replacing the follower is out of the question if this problem continues, but I am new to this, so let me know if otherwise. Anyone else have problems with this ammunition or Kimber mag?
