Anyone who lives in, or travels to or through Kentucky, this bill could use your help. Per KnifeRights.org:

Kentucky Knife Law Preemption Bill Filed
Kentucky state Senator Robin Webb has introduced a Knife Rights Knife Law Preemption bill, BR 384, for the 2014 session. BR 384 would repeal all existing local knife regulations and prohibit any future knife regulations, making state knife law supreme over the entire state. It also specifically provides that parties may sue to enjoin any violations of the new preemption law. It's worth noting that the annual Knifemaker's Guild show is held in Louisville.

If you live, work or travel in Kentucky, please contact your state Senator and ask them to please support BR 384. If Sen. Webb is your Senator, please thank her for sponsoring BR 384. You can find your Kentucky state Senator here: http://www.lrc.ky.gov/legislators.htm

Knife Law Preemption is Knife Rights' signature legislative initiative and is the essential foundation for improving knife laws and protecting knife owners. Beginning with the nation's first Knife Law Preemption bill passed in 2010 in Arizona, Knife Rights has passed Knife Law Preemption in seven states to date. Knife Law Preemption prevents a patchwork of local ordinances which can entrap honest citizens traveling within or through a state.

Thanks for the info, I was under the impression that those who had the CDWL (Concealed Deadly Weapons License) was able to legally carry concealed any kind of concealable weapons including knives and firearms.

I found these other links as well.

I wasn't aware that there was a site called "The Truth About Knives"

" Senator Webb’s knife-law preemption bill BR 384 would nullify all local- and county-level knife laws and prohibit any new ones from taking effect. BR 384 will be considered during the Bluegrass State’s short 2-month legislative season, starting January 7th.

BR 384 doesn’t just wipe the slate clean of local knife laws in Kentucky: it’s got teeth. It proactively nullifies any new local knife laws, and makes it a criminal offense for any local public official to pass or enforce them."

CDWL (Concealed Deadly Weapons License) was able to legally carry concealed any kind of concealable weapons including knives and firearms.

The objective is to not require having any sort of license or permit to carry any sort of knife.

Chris Dumm just started The Truth About Knives after having The Truth About Guns that we recognize.

What did you find objectionable?
I will try to explain within the rules on THR to the best of my ability. If I screw up its on me.

The first post I saw was in relation to the Phil Robertson issue. The article was talking about how bad he screwed up and that Kershaw would be pulling the new DD line. He went on and on and turned very political. I found it to have no factual proof of anything. And the worst of all there was no "truth about knives". It seemed to be the typical rant blog against the things I don't like. It turned me off.
YMMV.....

Tankless, I didn't like his stance on the Robertson issue either, but I kept reading through his posts. He's very supportive of the Knife Rights legislative efforts, and is helping get the word out on that.

In the fine print of concealed weapons license carry rules of SD the permit is only valid for a handgun unless it has changed in the last 15 years and I doubt that. If you have a hunting knife covered by your jacket which would be appropriate during several months of hunting seasons we have you can be arrested for concealing a dangerous weapon. If you have a States Attorney wanting to climb the ladder you are royally screwed. Know your local laws to the 10th degree.
