L Frame GP100 6 inch holster suggestions?

Hey there

Im looking for an economical holster for my Ruger GP-161.
Can anyone suggest a holster that would be suitable for IDPA, duty carry?


Im a real noob to competative shooting and there arent any shops near
by that i can compare holsters.

Also which is better for speed loader pouches? Button snap closure
or velcro? Any tips on speed loaders?

I was looking at this one will it cover the trigger assembly?

Really need some help, i know my questions seem a bit noob-esque but dont know what to look at.

I see the word duty in there. Are you going to carry this in a LEO type job?
After that answer I can help on the holster.
Safariland comp II or III speed loaders.
Are you shooting ESR or SSR?

By duty i meant in terms of hip holster for shooting IDPA, not work.

There are a few clubs around that do PPC and other fun shoots
but they are all based on the IDPA gear regulations.

Im new to shooting sports so far those are the only two types of
events ive seen flyers for. Pistol shooting is not that big around here.
