Hello,
I'm usually on the Wheelgun side of this forum, but I have some questions RE: the LAR Grizzly.
First off, did the factory have options for compensators, or was this aftermarket stuff ?
Does a Comp add to the value ?
Also, how hard or desirable is the Mark 4 or 44 magnum version of this gun ?
Are mags available for these, is so, are they an arm & a leg, or just a leg ?
Finally, in your opinions, what would a very clean mark 4 sell for ?
I have a freind with one and and I'm trying to get a price range that I should not venture out of.

Thanks in advance for all your help, Jeff (GUNKWAZY)

The L.A.R. Grizzly did have a factory optional compensator. It was actually just a bushing compensator, but for some reason is worth about $100 according the Blue Book. :what:

The Mark IV 44 Magnum was produced from 1991 to 1999 and does not bring any special premium.

Don't know about mags.

Value? NIB would bring about $850 to $900, Excellent condition $725 to $775.

Thanks

Thanks Stans,
I have the Blue Book along with the Standard Catalog of Firearms.
I'm actually interested in actual market type knowledge.
I don't see too many Grizzly's and the ones I do see tend to go for more than book prices. Also the Blue book does not address a compensater for the Mark 4 model. At least my book did not. It's the 25th anniv issue which I believe is current.

Thanks, Jeff (GUNKWAZY)

My Mark 4 44 Magnum has ports cut right in the bbl which extends ~ an inch beyond the bushing. They are good guns and equal to a custom built 1911 type in quality. I like the 44 caliber because ammo is readily available while the 45 and 357 Win Mags are hard to find ammo for. HTH

.

How long have you had your Mark 4 ?
Have you had any problems with it ?
Would you sell it, if so, for how much.
If you didn't have one, what would you pay for one ?
I just don't see them. Not even on GB or GA or AA.

Thanks, Jeff (GUNKWAZY)

A year or two.
No problems
Yes, I would but would prefer instate.
With the three mags I would ask $1,000. That's also what I would pay.

The gun is easily as nice as a custom 1911 job from the famous names, meaning the trigger, etc. is exceptional, millet sights, from the factory.

Helppppp

Help,
The Grizzly Mark 4 needs an extractor.
Can anyone help with that ?
Are they easy to install and are any available ?
