I was updating my reloading spread sheet and went back a couple of years to look at the volume loaded and guns used. I started keeping records in March of '04, and had a 13 month break with a move. Had loaded just over 9,000 at that time. Got the press set up again in '05 and ran some rifle rounds. Then bought a sig 220 in Dec '05. Followed by a SA Black Stainless and S&W1911PD in early '06.

Once I got into the .45 I started loading a bit more. At the end of '05 I had 11,000 loaded. At the end of '06 35,000 loaded. I bought an Ed Brown Exec Target and Les Baer PII. Just finished up with 69,900 today. I have a few stockpiled right now with the bad weather. I've been loading a bunch of 9mm to feed the new S&W 952-2 and the reconditioned BHP.

I'm starting to show some wear on the LnL.

LOL - it's kind of fun to keep the numbers and look back at them. I just updated my spreadsheet over the christmas break to break it down by caliber, by year, etc. I"m nowhere near your league but I did the following:

2005 - 2700 Rounds Total
2006 - 5250 Rounds Total
2007 - 5020 Rounds Total (unless I load some more today. :) )

Figuring an average savings of $5 per box (really low estimate given .50 S&W, etc.) I figure I've saved $1297 so my equipment is definately paid for. :)

By Caliber:

.223 Rem: 1600
.45 ACP: 8400
.45 LC 800
45/70 400
.50 S&W 750
.303 British 100
.357 Magnum 300
.308 Win 240
12 Gauge 280
30-06 100
8mm Mauser 0
7.62 x 54R 0

Even in my first year of keeping records I shot more than 5 times the ammo that I was shooting in prior years. (My typical year before getting back into reloading for the second go round was 500 founds of .45acp and/or .357 magnum per year . .whatever went on sale at Dick's when I got my christmas bonus)

Have a good one,
Dave
