A .050 inch spread in case length means nothing in AR type rifles in any cartridge configuration. I cannot see a difference in 308 Win or 30 caliber magnum loads' accuracy in bolt guns through 1000 yards with that spread. Nor with 7.62 NATO ammo in service rifles. I know better not to crimp case mouths into good bullets so consistent case length ain't on my to-do list.

Calculate the percentage of case throat length that grips bullets, then measure the force needed to pull seated bullets from them. Is the percentage spread in case throat length the same as the spread in bullet release force? If not, why keep case length or throat grip length the same?

173-gr. bullets in arsenal match ammo are not crimped in. Their release force is spec'd at a minimum of 20 pounds. Calculate the bullet's energy in foot-pounds as the cases move 8 to 10 fps when chambered. Those bullets don't shift from chambering nor magazine bump from recoil. AR bolts are moving 6 to 8 fps chambering rounds with bullets up to 80 grains weight. How many foot-pounds of energy do they have when chambered? Measure your 22 caliber AR ammo bullets release force.
