As nice as the .410 Enfield's are (I love mine!), the smoothbore conversions are single shot only- they remove the magazine and plug the well. Also, the rear sight is fixed with a rivet and I don't think you're going to hit much at 1000 yds with a .410 anyway....Ishpore Enfield .410 for geese. .410 has less recoil that way I can get quicker follow up shots. Also you can shoot so fast with an Enfield that the Germans thought they were machine guns. Google Mad Minute and Sergeant Snoxall if you don't believe me. Also some of those older Enfields have volley sights and can reach out thousands of yards. I'd sweep the sky with one. Plus I have a .303 Enfield for squirrels and doves in trees so I am familiar with the platform
