That's a lot of "stuff" to be totin' around! I trust you avoided large bodies of water while outfitted as such!

I would respectfully disagree with your assessment for not buying that P7 years ago.

I had a "cosmetically challenged" P7 some time back (it came in a HK green cardboard box, had a plum colored slide, and strangely enough also cost me $500). You know as much as that gun was touted as being the greatest thing since instant oatmeal I never felt all that warm and fuzzy about it (kind of had the same feelings about a HK P9S I use to have also).

I have small size hands so the cocking lever was a bit of a reach for me and I never really could get comfortable with it. Also you were somewhat limited with the ammo you could run through it (as I recall exposed lead bullets weren't allowed as they could cause problems with the gas port), you had to keep the gas port area really clean, and the frame itself got fairly hot after 3 or 4 mags we're run through it. The trigger was alright and accuracy was decent enough but I have other 9mm.s that do better on both accounts.

Didn't have a problem selling it and haven't felt the need to try one again after all these years.

I got to shoot one many moons ago and it was one of those "ahhhhhhhhh" moments. It just fit my (medium sized) hand perfectly and I was ringing steel at 25yds from the first shot.

But then, I must be weird because I dont think A-series Astras kick hard, dont find the M92 Beretta too chunky, and actually LIKE the DA/SA trigger on old SIGS.......:D:p:)

Okay I'm not saying you're weird (certainly not because of your medium size hands), but I still think the Astra 600 kicks like a mule (and there's others who tried it and will say the same thing), the Beretta 92 is somewhat of a "wide load" in it's grip frame (though the straight back of the Vertec model is more to my liking), and the SRT on my SIG P229 is way better than the DA/SA trigger on my early P226 (I did shoot my brother's P228 and that trigger was pretty good).

If you had a truly Zen moment while shooting a P7 then I hope you find another one that will make you one with everything, at least in a 9mm.!

Cheers my friend!

Sweet Cobra! The snake and the model car are nice too!

The grips look like Sile grips. Found a pair that looks just like them on Ebay for $49.99
