Rientz,

Is that a Taylor MC1 knife? If so are you still using the original sheath? A buddy had a cold steel "Tanto" and had a local make a sheath as he did not like the plastic CS sheath. I carried my Taylor in the CS plastic sheath for years....then one day I pulled the knife for a camp chore and the sheath came free of the belt loop! Been digging in boxes forever since trying to find the leather Taylor sheath.

Hey KBob, that knife is a Cold Steel plastic training knife. Sorry, I didn’t know that it could get confused with a real knife, otherwise I would have left a description. It was meant to be a bit of a joke; plastic gun, plastic knife, plastic bag (BTW, I do own plenty of plastic guns). I hope you can find the leather you need.

I would respectfully disagree with your assessment for not buying that P7 years ago.

I had a "cosmetically challenged" P7 some time back (it came in a HK green cardboard box, had a plum colored slide, and strangely enough also cost me $500). You know as much as that gun was touted as being the greatest thing since instant oatmeal I never felt all that warm and fuzzy about it (kind of had the same feelings about a HK P9S I use to have also).

I did buy one of the plum-slide P7s that was more than cosmetically challenged, it had a big ding out of the crown. Like, 25% of the outer circumference of the barrel had a bite taken out of it.

I also never felt a huge warm fuzzy about carrying or shooting it, but I sure regret selling it now that my $500 C-class P7 would sell easily for double that.

Not too many people know that Glock was not the first one with a trigger blade safety as seen below.

Very nice blackpowder era Iver Johnson! I have it's exact sibling which I cut down to a 2" barrel years ago, as well as a dozen close cousins of slightly newer vintage.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out some intrepid gunsmith had put a trigger safety on a flintlock at some point.
