Any rust issues or other issues now that the finish has started to wear? IDK why, but pictures of well worn/used guns look more attractive than the mint condition ones...

How long have you carried them?

I’ve had the benchmade for 7 years.. no rust the 154cm is great steel.. good edge retention and I believe is a semi- stainless.
M&p compact I’ve had for 6 years and it has rust in the sight dovetails and on the ends of the rollpins.
327pc I’ve had for 4 years and is all stainless and alloys so no rust except some speckling on the hammer and trigger which are case hardened. This guns gets a lot of abuse and bad weather as I carry it for work in the woods in all weather.
The fixed blade I made in 2016 and the dark color you see is not a finish it is the forge scale left from when I heat treated it... I thought it looked good like that so I left it. It is actually quite rust resistant though a few places that rub on the sheath have shined up that same wear keeps the rust polished off.

Yep.

Sweet tools you got, see way too many "carry guns" with not the slightest bit wear. Either that frog lube is magic stuff or they dont get out there much. Years ago I had a blackhawk with maybe 20% of the finish remaining, wasnt abused really just heavily used. It got some minor surface rust on a few areas from leaving it in a leather holster untouched for 6 months :barf:. I doubt blueing would have prevented that anyway. when i started using it everyday again it never had rust , wiped it down once a week.

I like that 327pc, looks like you do too.

I just got back from running errands. I had my Ruger LCR in 38 special (with LCRx grips) and a push dagger. Usually I have a folding knife, but I was feeling whimsical.

I like your notion of being "whimsical" with that combo!

Thanks BB! :)

I carry the LCR a lot. It is a light and handy carry piece.

Normally I carry a folding knife with it, because they are more useful for opening packages or cutting rope or whatever. But I didn't foresee needing a utility knife on my quick errands today, so I carried the old-timey push knife instead. I like old-fashioned things.

I sang as much of "The Gambler" as I could remember in my best Kenny Rogers voice while I was in the truck.

That right there is worth a whole bunch of bonus points!

Like the Colt Diamondback snubby, especially in .22LR! The Rossi M720 in .44 Special is nice too, as are the knives!
