An old 10/22 that is just beautiful...
I installed a makeshift forend "pad", so this rifle could be used by a beginner Rimfire Benchrest shooter in the matches I initiated for the Club. It's a really good Rem 581 with a Shilen after-market barrel, installed by a good gunsmith. I don't shoot competitively anymore, but like to shoot this rifle, mostly offhand.
My Winchester 69A, .22 S, L, LR with receiver sights. It's in beautiful condition, nice trigger, and I really enjoy shooting it. Bought it about 20 years ago at a Lewiston, Maine gun show at the Armory. One of the best gun shows in Maine.

A quartet of Remington rimfires: at top is M-37 target rifle customized by Roy Dunlap. the rifle I shot on university varsity rifle team over two decades ago. M-40-X Sporter, Custom M-37 Sporter, M-121 pump action.

Sadly, I just now returned from tossing most of my unworthy rimfires into the dumpster.
Litetrigger, of all your factory rimfire rifles (not considering the custom ones), which do you admire the most from the design, quality and workmanship standpoint?

While you title the 40X as a sporter, I can’t imagine taking a rifle with a finish like that afield anywhere near a branch, thorn, or rock.

.At the top my 1957 Marlin model 57 M 22mag Levermatic , my model 56 22LR Levermatic. Then in the second picture my 1952 Marlin 39a with Ballard rifling , and my 2004 Marlin 39a golden target edition complete with bull barrel ( Remlin) , and in the bottom picture my 1976 Marlin 39a topped with a Williams aperture sight . I call it my Bicentennial Squirrel getter …… my grandson calls it “his”
