Just heard back from Leupold.

All current leupy scopes are centerfire, and airgun rated.

ya they are, you can send in fixed rimfire scopes to them and they will set them up like a norma scope.

if you can find them the talley cz are probably the lightest steel rings. i would like some QD rings for my carbine but there $100 and up.

those rings i saw where on some custom website that i can't remember. they were like $100, you would think how popular the cz's are there be more rings. maybe search 16mm dovetail rings.

Probably one of the lighter options also. Could do "hidden pocket" milling (ok gouging in my case) on the underside to get rid of some weight.

i know there are different rings and stuff or the euro market, i wonder if a email to a cz usa rep would help.

To be honest, for the CZ, I think you could justify them because of the iron sights.

$100 to save like 1 oz lol. i don't think alu would be much lighter then those talleys.

Nothing more expensive than trying to save weight.....which is why all my other rigs weigh as much as they do.

Well how's this for a pseudo plan. Cz rings get the drill press and some discreet grinding...errr.... milling? I'll try the 2-7 leupy, and we'll see how much money i burn to fix what I break!

the new sights i have on my carbine are a nice improvement over the older ones there high like the old remington sights, witch is good you can see your sights with bases still on. a rappy pic but gives you a idea.
