Your right.....that's an awful picture! :p:D

Ya know tempted to send you a new.phone just to get better pictures of your toys!

I actually thought the old ones were ok (but I liked the old rem sights too, go figure), but your right the new ones are much better.

Thought those looked like aftermarkets!

Ive played with a few of the carbines here, but never really tried to figgure out where the sights came from....now I'm kinda wishing my Gren had sight....oh well guess I gotta go by a hog back x39

i think necg makes a slip over front ramp, then you just need there peep sight.

Ugh....I just coated the rifle too....well I didn't like the color anyway. Wonder if I could solder one of those on myself.

Or I could drill and tap it I guess.

they have sweat on and screw on. its easy to sweat tho. a nice small bubble level some wire and some mag gas, propane will work but fatter the better.
since your 375 will reach out there this would look nice. 3LeafClassic.lrg.jpg and one of these UniversalBanded_lrg.jpg you could green loketight the banded sight, there are others to pick from,

Yeah, you got me perusing the sites, sights, now.
I've got map, and can get a brazing/welding set up, but I'm pretty awful at it. Im pretty good at drilling holes tho lol. I'd considered epoxying the a.front band on mostly just for looks a while back. Making it all functional would be nice tho.

if you pre solder the base then clamp it with wire level, just flux and heat it will bond quick no need to go pecking with silver solder. you can even do it on a blued barrel, trace a line were the base/ramp is then remove the bluing there.

get any emails back today?
Oh yeah! I'd forgotten to share.
So from Clearidge I got that they are "airgun" rated, not what I asked but I bet they get asked that a lot and just replied by reflex. Asked for clarification.

From Talley, they will have the cz ring in stock on the website next week, bout the same. Price as optics planet.

I don't think there was anyone else I was waiting on.

i did the math, well google did. i yo bore a 5'' deep 3/4'' hole in the butt stock, that will be 1 1/4 oz's you could use a router and take some meat from the barrel channel.

Oh Talley list their rings at 4oz
Random enterweebz says Burris is 4.75, and stock are 5.5
Warned lists a 5.3 for med, and 6.0 for high
The warnes are also the lowest options available.

Can't find leupys, or the Euro ring weights

I've considered that.
that actually removed a lot of material from a couple stocks internally and epoxied in carbonfiber tubes as reinforcement, did the wrist on one Boyd's stock and it held fine. Might be an option here as well depending on how much effort I feel like putting in, and how dense the wood actually is.
