Links to old TFL threads...

Dave, your "musings" gave me one of the better weekends I've had in a looong time!

Thanks!

Nice bunch of links, Dave.

I'll admit it: I don't pay near as much attention to smoothbores as I should, so I really don't haunt your forum regularly. Still, I don't see how I missed this thread. It's already given me a very pleasant morning, and I'm not a third of the way through. I'm hoarding the rest, to be read and savored slowly.

I grew up half a continent away from the scenes of your youth, but your stories evoke so many memories . . . .

You have an outstanding talent, sir. I hope you see fit to gather up a large sample of your writings and publish them. Maybe not TOO large. You already have enough material for a couple of modest-sized books.

Sincere thanks for your efforts, Dave. They are not wasted.

Collecting...

Dave,

Thanks for the links, the posts, and all the help you've given me so far.

I just got the winning bid today on a 1966 model 870TB, Remington 150th Anniversary Edition, 2534 total of those 870s made, unknown number were TBs. May have overpaid, but I wanted the gun bad. Now I have a relatively rare, collectors? gun, that I can shoot at trap and will last a long time if I keep it oiled. What a bargain.

Danny

You weren't a jerk though.

Dave:

Thanks for these. I read several, including Jerks at the range.

You know, there's just those few times when you have to speak out and sort out somebody else's hash. But in the end, you probably did the man a favor. Without some correction, he might have mouthed off in the wrong place or the wrong time, and truly come to harm.

You're welcome. S'funny, I doubt that I can recognize him now. I may have with him again unknowing.

Que Sera sera.
