Some points about the above:

I know there are other lists out there but I was looking for specific organizations. I was looking specifically for organizations devoted first to protecting 2nd Amendment rights. If the first thing on the "about" page mentioned hunting, sport, marksmanship, or safety, I did not include it on this page, regardless of whether they tacked on 2nd Amendment rights as a secondary purpose.

In some cases there was no about page so I used my judgement based on a 30-45 second overview of the page as to what it's really about. In other cases the first stated purpose was to promote shooting sports, but I put it in anyway because of a big marquee that said something like "YOUR RIGHTS ARE AT RISK" or "LEGISLATIVE ALERT".

I was particularly looking to see if the group wasn't actually a group of banners-in-camo like the American Hunters and Shooters Association.

I didn't include any site that was substantially broken. Probably because I'm in IT and I've always said that people who publish broken sites don't really want visitors.

If anyone has extra suggestions please post them and I'll edit the original post. Please let me know if I missed anyone, or if one of these groups doesn't support RKBA.

I have compiled all of this into a Word document.

I was on vacation, glad to see other people have picked up the torch.
I got a PM with the following Missouri outfits as well:

Missouri Sport Shooting Association (MSSA) The state NRA affiliate at http://www.safewithguns.org/

Missouri Concealed Carry Website - http://www.missouricarry.com/index1.htm

MoCarry Forum - http://www.missouricarry.com/forums/

However, I still can't update the original post. Don't know if this is a permanent limitation, but I lost edit ability a couple days into this. I hope everyone figures out to read the whole thread.

Terrible laws create activists

California has so many Second Amendment groups, because the citizens there understand they are threatened. States with better records have apathetic people, because they can't read the wall.

Since the passage of the Minnesota Personal Protection Act [shall issue carry law], the organization you have listed has dropped the Concealed Carry Reform Now [CCRN] moniker and again assumed a more global name of Gun Owners Civil Rights Alliance [GOCRA]. We are a registered lobbyist at the Minnesota State Capital, and work tirelessly to beat back all anti-gun legislation. In addition to the passage of the MPPA [twice, but don't get me started], we were instrumental in obtaining passage of the 2005 Range Protection Act. Our 2008 Agenda includes passage of 'Stand Your Ground' legislation to remove the duty to retreat, and getting a RKBA amendment put on the ballot. Our website is currently pretty decrepid, but it does have a 'sign-up'. We email our supporters when bills are being considered, and direct them to our on-line tool to contact Minnesota Reps and Senators. We also provide voting guides in election years for the state house and other offices. Our new web-site will be at http://www/mngocra.net [currently you will be re-directed to the old site]. There is contact information on the site if you want more information, or you can meet us at many of Minnesota's Gun Shows.
