Hi guys.
Read what appeared to be the most applicable threads and still didn't see a "real" answer.
From someone who's actually used one in such a way, what are the chances of successfully using one of these chamber reducers in an 870? (Specifically I'm looking at using a 12ga to 20ga adapter.)
I know it would be slower, and you have to pull the empties, and the patterns are worse -- I mainly was wondering if the things will actually extract from a pump, period. The company website recommends them for break actions, but does say they'll work with pump actions or manual extraction from autos.
Not thinking competition -- just want to let a youngster work up through shooting some lighter stuff before using 12ga.
Yes, I can and have loaded down (did some nice 7/8 oz "grandma" loads -- literally, for a grandma!), but don't have loaders set up right now, and don't always have time. Just looking for a cheap way to get less "bang".
Thanks, guys.
