Anybody have one of these and operate it successfully? If so, I have questions.

Just finished my first short run of shot to try the thing out. I think it was too cold and windy in my driveway as keeping the alloy hot enough was problematic and required some help with a propane torch. Towards the end, one of the nozzles started "globbing" on the ramp, so I shut the process down as it was making lots of little lead pancakes. Didn't have 600 grit to dress the ramp, so this and the temperature issue might have been my main problems. Problem seemed to develop after one particular ingot was added that may have had a bad alloy.

Not a bad run though, ended up with aprox 20 lbs of "shot." I'd call 75% legitimate good shot, 20% useable but a bit out of round, and 5% pancacakes and cull after screening. Wouldn't want to shoot the Grand with it, but should suffice for 16 yard trap and skeet.

I have some ideas to dial it in going forward, but would like to build on others positive experience if it's out there. After running the thing, I'd much rather pay $50 a bag for Eagle, but that just isn't an option right now. I may be asked to supply my trap team this year if the ammo situation doesn't turn around soon.
