I bought some 68gr BTHP (ballistic tip hollow point) bullets in .223 and my loading manual does not have a load for this round. I use Varget and H322 powders mostly for .223. Does anyone have any load data for this bullet in .223?

Thanks.

Hornady data in the Service Rifle AR-15 Section for their 68gr. bthp using Win cases and primers lists H322 from a start at 21.6 grains at 2500fps up to a maximum at 23.0 grains at 2700fps. Using Varget powder they started at 22.7 grains and up to a maximum at 24.9 grains for 2800 fps. Overall length tested for the Hornady 68 BTHP bullet was 2.250". Start low and work up. Of the two powders you listed Varget would be the best choice. You didn't say what brand of BOAT-tailed hollow point bullet you purchased. Hornady makes a 68 while Nosler and Sierra's are 69 grains.

Thanks guys....I think I'll use Varget and work up from the minimum.
