Loading cylinder on pietta remington is wearing the finish. Is this a problem?

Hey guys,

Since I got my Pietta Remington 1858 and Taylor's conversion cylinder about 5 months ago, I've removed and reinserted the cylinders maybe around 20-30 times to get/stay familiar with how they load/unload. One thing that I noticed is that the finish on the part of the frame that the back of the cylinder presses against (backplate?) is wearing down where the back of cylinder rubs against it when being removed and reinstalled.

Right now, it looks like it's only the finish that's being worn away and I can't feel any scratches on the metal. This is kind of a dumb question, but is this something I should be worried about? Like, could it wear down and weaken the frame over time? The wear seems so minor that I'm assuming that it's nothing, but I wanted to ask someone who might be more familiar with this gun and firearms maintenance in general.

You just wore the finish off. It is normal. Keep it lightly oiled.
