Did the genuine covert CIA gun come with a letter of authenticity from the CIA like mine did? I have one, but it's all in invisible ink and I haven't figured out how to read it yet. Even the letterhead is invisible. Boy, I sure was lucky to find that for $2,500!

and I have done some business with him. He also is known as the CZ CONNECTION here in Atlanta, Georgia.
He seems to have a good deal setup with the CZUSA folks. He always has a load of CZ 75s, 85s, 97s, 83s and is slowly building up the PCR and PO1 inventory.
His prices are ALWAYS the best on any CZ.
He sells a little bit of everything, assault rifles, police trade in SIGS, SASS guns, HKs, etc etc. Can also get you JVC electronics cheap, Dart supplies, furniture and humidors.
I bought a Springfield XD from him also recently.
The guy is a piece of work. I always know specifically what I want and what I am going to pay for anything in his place. He has always treated me well.
That being said, that add sux.

I've seen this ad before. Granted the $369 price isn't great but in the range for a Cetme
Now claiming that the rifle is worth $849 is unethical in my opinion.
I also concure with the deplorable notion that this was Photoshop work.

You can put ANYTHING you want down as your "list price." And if some chump pays it, well, that's their problem.

Before everyone jumps this guy's case, I have bought from him and he treated me right. He is a good seller.
The ad is not really his style and I don't like it either but his price is not really a rip off compared to what most people are selling the CETME for. I have seen the original ad somewhere (I think it was in the FAC Guns catalog) and the price was $299 if I remember correctly. The list price doesn't mean anything, I have seen huge variations in what people claim is the list price but it wouldn't cause me to buy a gun from someone just because there price was $500 under list and the next guy was only $400 under list if the OTD prices were the same on the same gun.

Its a little faint, but I think the date on the letter reads 'The 10th Day of April in the year 1865' and was witnessed by some guy named U.S. Grant. It comes with 3 mags marked "LEO Only", I guess a previous owner named Leo was a little pissy about people borrowing his mags, and the owner's manual (in Sanskrit and Latin), along with the custom-made dodo-skin carrying case with carrier pigeon feather padding. I hope its worth some money, I've got bills to pay (and guns to buy) and would love to auction this rare piece off for at least $10,000 at Southerby's.

U. S. Grant isn't a name but a designation that the object was transferred via a grant under the United States government. The trick is to go to the National Archives in Washington to find the terms under which the grant was made, thereby helping to verify the provenance of the object. You should also look in the archives for the soldier named "Leo Only" and once you've identifed the soldier's unit, you can establish the actions in which it was engaged. Heck, it may have been at Waterloo whupping Napoleon. It's a real find.

Mismatched numbers could indicate a Confederate CETME which would be worth far more than a Union gun, particularly if it can be attributed to General Patton, like this one.
There is a famous etching of General Patton using a rifle to butt-stroke a coward in the Confederate hospital tent at Gettysburg; and if you look closely, it is indeed a CETME descending on the whiners head! You can see Eisenhower in the background pursing his lips in disapproval and holding hands with General Montgomery.
The caption indicates the whiney coward in question is one PFC Leo Only of the 2nd Bn, 1st Georgia Irregulars (indicating he was too tall and skinny to fit in a standard issue uniform).
Coincidence? I think not!
