I'm looking for my latest fun revolver. I very much like the look of the Ruger Redhawk (not Super Redhawk because it only comes with ugly synthetic grips AFAIK), 44 magnum, with wood grips (love wood grips). Was also looking with interest at the SW 500. Has synthetic grips probably for good reason (not a fan of synthetic but can see that this gun might be more practical with them). Noticed the Waddell Bone Collector S&W performance Center version with 10.5" barrel is still available despite limited run of 1000. Price is a consideration for me. Where in this sector do you think I should go for most fun factor. I would not use it for hunting (at least I've never hunted yet) so I would probably only use it for making holes in paper. Ruger or S&W? Something else? Caliber? Barrel length? Thanks for your advice.
