Hi all. I am looking for a fun ask around shotgun. I have a pump 12, Rem 1100 in 12, single shot 12. I would love an old Sears and Robuk double barrel 12 or 20. But also thinking of maybe a lever action 12 our some type of 410 but I don't like the price of 410 shells. I would like to keep it in the 300-500 dollar range. Any suggestions with pictures. Also what is the shotgun that like like someone put a long barrel and finding stock on a 410 derringer.

Saiga 12-gauge, #1 for pure fun facto. If you are not familiar, it is an AK-based, detachable mag fed autoloader. It will run you about $500 for the gun, another $100 or so for a basic conversion to a pistol grip configuration. I have about a grand into mine; I got it as my one gun with no purpose other than fun. Trust me, a 20-round drum and a forest of water-filled milk jugs is FUN.

Stoeger makes some real nice double barrels. I like their coach guns and the new double defense, they both retail between $400-$500.

I recently acquired, for a good price, and 1950's Stevens 311A. Fun gun! Still tying to decide if I want to "pistolize" it.

Lots of choices, including all that's been mentioned here.

Hit your LGS and see what's up for sale. If something strikes your fancy....
