I use different inova lights. My favorite is the inova t4r. Good customer service too. I have two streamlights, they are good quality as well.

Lenzer has a nice line of flashlights. Ran into them with a thrift store headlight which I use for night fishing. Has never failed me.
I bought a couple of there flash lights for family members when they were about $25.00. Have a lanyard loop and simple on and off.

Anything from Streamlight is excellent. I've had a rechargeable Streamlite Strion for years and it's been a great bedside light, duty belt and camping light.

I like my Streamlight.

I have it programmed for HIGH only. It doesn't see much use.

If I have time, I use my phone or another light.
If I need to see what's going RIGHT NOW, I use the HIGH Steamlight.

Streamlight fan for years. Have quite buying all the special de jure flashlights. Most don't last. Usually it's the switch.

I currently am carrying the 1L-1AA as an edc. Have the rechargeable Pro-Tac for around the house. As well as several other models. For my money I want reliablilty and have settled on Streamlight.

Rechargeable is the way to go for SHTF, btw. The world may run out of non-chargeable batteries, but you can continue to recharge for some time to come.

I like Streamlight for the value:performance. I've had Surefire, it is nice that they are across town and their products support USA employment. The other light I like is the HDS line. As nice a tool as some of these are, the willingness of my wallet relative to my pedestrian use gets a bit choked up when these are multiple Ben Franklins. They still serve me well even though the LED tech in them is outdated.

The rechargeable power source is good.
