Does anyone know who a good reliable lever action shotgun would be made by? I'm willing to go either 12 or 20 gauge, this would be more of a plinking/target gun. I already have a Winchester 1200 for home defense (it's a beast I know, but it does the job).

Other then a couple of .410's that used to be made by Marlin & Winchester?

The only other lever-action shotgun there is or was is the 1887 Winchester.

Italian reproductions of them are available from Cimarron and Taylor, and a Chinese one from Norinco to name a few.

They are more range toys / Cowboy action guns then serious target shotguns though.

Marlin or winchester

Those are your two best bets! Marlin makes a 410-45 long colt gun, winchester made a 12 and 20 guage lever gun they are on gunbroker! Good luck!

Winchester made a 10 ga and 12 ga.
Never a 20 ga.

Marlins .410 is not designed to shoot .45 Colt cartridges.

The last 12 ga ones made by Winchester were made nearly 100 years ago, so they aren't real common, even on Gunbroker.
