Which would you buy and why? A Rem 700, Weatherby Vangaurd, or Tikka T3.

I was thinking the Rem 700 CDL or XCR, the Vangard synthetic blued, or the T3 blued synthetic. I am looking for a rifle that I can get a limbsaver recoil pad for and one that has a good trigger or one I can easily get an aftermarket. Not looking to customize, just hunt medium sized game. I am worried about the Rem due to the fact that I cannot lock the bolt & hear stories about the handle comming off. I don't really care much for the small size bolt handle either. I hear the Vanguards are choosey about what load you feed them (I don't load my own). With the T3, it is harder to find and I don't hear about them much and I don't care for shorter barrels. Thanks!!!

I recommend the T3. It comes from the factory with a very good adjustable trigger, extremely smooth action, and a 1" group @ 100 yds guarantee. The T3 Lite has a 22.5" barrel, so I'm not sure what barrel length you consider too short.

another recco for the T-3. Have had mine for a couple years and she is a sweet rifle.

made by the same people and same machinery that makes Sako rifles.

trigger is CRISP and the ergo's and handling are very smooth

I use an old parker hale- but if i was looking for a new 06 i would look at the vanguard, howa or cz.

Probably the cz

XCR, Vanguard tie then the T3.
I'm a HUGE Beretta fan, but the Tikka rifles are a new item to me - I have made some pretty fair shots with a remy and a weatherby- I trust them. That said, T3 blued/syn (?):eek: - not for me. SS/SYN is an option, or blue/wood;
The vanguard possibly has the best designed stock, I like them, and about being "choosey for ammo" I think a .270 will group minute of deer out of ANY rifle.
