I'm looking for a good quality shoulder holster for a Ruger Redhawk, 45 LC, with a 4 inch barrel. I would like to stay around the $50 range or less if possible (if not that's fine).

Any suggestions?

Uncle Mike's is the only shoulder holster you are going to get at that price that actually works. Unless you stumble into a deal on something used.
Remember when you buy a belt holster you are only buying the holster. When you buy a shoulder holster you are buying the holster, belt (harness) and often an ammo pouch.

I have an Uncle Mike's horizontal shoulder holster that works great with my S&W Model 686. Very secure and surprisingly comfortable to wear. Current prices seem to be around $50 to $55.

Take a look at the Alaskan made by Crossfire, right in your price range and very versatile. Can be shoulder or hip, works left or right, has retention strap for firearm. I use the 6" large frame for three different revolvers, S&W 4" 686, S&W 57 6" and Ruger Redhawk 6" plus you can slip a double speed loader case on the strap in front, works great. I like the Uncle Mikes also, they are well made and less money. They do offer one specifically for large frame 4" revolver if that's all you need. Good luck.

Look on Ebay. There are lots of used holsters with a good discount. I would rather buy a used holster over a new one anyway, as somebody else has already broken it in.

For years I carried my revolvers on my hip in Hunter leather holsters. For medical reasons I coulden't tolerate the weight anymore. At a gun show was a booth that was featuring shoulder belts that you use your hip holsters with. I try ed one on liked and bought it. Now I can carry all my hip holsters under my left arm. You can get extensions to fit for over or under clothing . I payed around 60.00 bucks for it. The outfit is called Pistol Packaging, out of Minnesota. Fine heavy leather belt, russet colored to match my holsters. hdbiker

I too had been looking for a holster for a large frame revolver - my .500 Smith & Wesson Bone Collector.
I finally gave up but ran into a Mark Finnegan of Shamrock Holsters at the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg this past February.
He claimed he could make a holster for my revolver so I took a chance and had him make one for me.

I am happy to say I just received it and I am very pleased.
The leather is thick, soft & supple and fits my scoped Bone Collector like a glove.
I ordered the accessory cartridge bandoleer.
The holster also has holes at the muzzle end for a strap that you could tie to a leg if you wanted to.

I'm still getting used to it but it is a simple, fine, sturdy piece of work.

The holster system is an interesting modular one so the belt I ordered could probably be used with another holster-gun combination.

EDIT: the "belt" I ordered is actually a shoulder belt and not a waist belt. It's quite comfortable. Shamrock calls it the "Bandito Shoulder Belt",
