I'm considering ordering a Slide Guard lined holster and a Tie Breaker mag holder.

I saw some negative input from this thread: https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/high-noon-holsters-how-do-they-rank.1387855/

The above thread is dated 2011 and I was wondering if High Noon, Inc, has changed (due to covid, etc). Things happen.

Anybody here have one? Comments? Wait time?

The item description on the website says, "Your holster will be meticulously crafted over the next couple of weeks ......." That sounds really, really optimistic.

thanx

Edited to add, I did check THR info but the posts are pretty old. I'm looking for more recent reviews.

I have one from a couple years back and a lined holster from about 10 years back. Quality is solid. I chose them for their large selection and would go back if I was having trouble finding a holster for a less-common firearm.

If I needed a holster for a common firearm, I'd probably go somewhere else. I don't really approve of them selling bonded vinyl-leather as "full-grain leather" in their harnesses. Between that and their sales/service (search THR), the company seems a little bit scummy regardless of holster quality.

Sorry for the late reply to the OP's post, but Post #2 brought this one back to the top.

The link to GlockTalk thread was pretty positive. Only one guy didn't like his holster with a G30. The rest were positive comments. That seems pretty good.

I have a Slide Guard and Tie Breaker mag pouch from about 2010 for a 1911 and my comments will be similarly positive. It is a solid holster and pouch. My holster is lined, and if not choosing horsehide (which isn't available lined), I'd choose lined again. The holster and pouch aren't terribly elegant, but they are solid and functional.

FYI, today when I went to log on to High Noon's site, at first I couldn't get in at all, and now the message says their domain is pending renewal or has expired. I don't know what that means for the company. Their website status may change by the time you read this, but that's where it is right now.

Edit to add: It must have been a glitch, since their website came back up later in the day.

I have 4 High Noon holsters... all Slide Guards. My most used one is for my Kahr CW9/CM9 pistol, it works fabulous; it's been in service about 10 years. I also bought the same thing for my 4" Kimber... and it works just as well there, too, even with the heavier pistol.

A few things... I bought the 1911 holster unlined. Big mistake. I was thinking to save on bulk, but the Kahr holster is lined, and works sooooo much better. I'll likely order another for the 1911... but lined this time.

The 1911 holster was also stamped with the holster model right on the front of the holster... just an odd thing to do.

Here's the 2 most used holsters... for the Kahr (L) and 1911 (R). You can see the model stamp on the 1911 holster just under the ejection port flute.

I like how the holster carries the pistol high on the belt... it's much easier to conceal and avoid flashing, and it helps when driving, etc, where you have to sit. Even after 10+ years, the holster is still very rigid and doesn't flare out away from the body.

OP here. I ended up buying two High Noon holsters. Slide guards. Lined. One for my Sig P239s and one for my Sig 226s. And mag carriers.

I'm quite pleased. Thanks for the responses.
