Loose front sight

I recently acquired a Norinco Model 98 shotgun, a clone of a Remington 870. Lots of home mods, one of which is a set of ghost ring sights.

The problem is: the front sight blade is extremely loose in the dovetail base; I can push it back and forth with finger pressure. What's the best way to fix this? Loc-tite the blade into the base? Buy a whole new front sight assembly?

You might be able to make some center-punch dents in the bottom of the dovetail. This will raise the sight dovetail up in the ramp dovetail and tighten it.

But in the end, unless it is very loose, Loctite would probably work just as well, or better.

You could also shim it with thin shims until it fits real snug. Then use Loctite.
