Loose Magazine Tube

My dad recently gave me his Winchester model 94. If you grab the magazine tube and try to wiggle it side to side, it moves slightly. Is this normal?

It doesn't seem to affect the function of the rifle, but is it something I should get fixed?

It is normal.
Don't try to fix it by tightening down the barrel bands as this usually adversely affects accuracy.
