Well finally after 8 weeks I check my email to find out Spikes Tactical shipped my ST-15 lower.. So far I have
ST-15 Lower (in a few days)
Aero Precision A3 upper (M4 ramps)
RRA A2 stock/buffer set
DoubleStar LPK

I plan on a Bravo Comp. BCG and BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 charge handle...
But I am not sure what type (brand) of barrel to buy... I was thinking of a Del-Ton M4 barrel kit, but I am not sure.. Feed back please?

How much is the Delton? There are plenty of good barrels out there. What do you want? Stainless? CM with a chrome lined bore and chamber? Are you pinching pennies or want good equipment.

For budget builds I've had good luck with the Bushmaster barrel assemblies from PKFirearms. If you want something in stainless, Ranier Arms has a really nice "budget" barrel in stainless for under $200 for the stripped barrel. If you want to go with a precision/tactical build, the BCM SS410 stainless barrels are very nice and very accurate for the price of around $300 for the barrel. Personally, if I was building a blasting rifle with good accuracy, I'd opt for a Daniel Defense barrel. Cold hammer forged, chrome lined chamber and bore, nice finish, what's not to like? Delton would not have even entered my mind.

I don't care about chrome lined or not... And I am looking for an on the cheap SHTF (ish) barrel... The Del-Ton is barrel, FSB, handguards, blah, blah, for about $210 shipped...

I have a Del-Ton barrel on one of mine and have no complaints or regrets. If I were doing an inexpensive build, I'd have no problem using them again. I haven't priced standard barrels in a while though, so there might be better values out there.
