I have a Springfield Armory National Match M1 Garand rifle caliber 30-06 Springfield. the serial number is 491XXX. Any body have an idea of it's value? Origin, etc.............?

If it a 6 digit serial number SA, it a WWII, around early 1941 is my guess...NM does
enhance value, it would of been built after the war for that....for more info....ask over
at the CMP forum. For value you need pic....what it the TE, ME, over all condition, hows the stock......could be 600....could be 1500 or more...?

"...Springfield Armory..." Springfield Armory Inc. or the government aresenal? Makes a huge difference.

I have a Springfield Armory Inc. Garand, with a serial number like 7xxxxxx. I think all their reproductions have a number in this range, well above the serial numbers used for the "real" Garands.
