I'm wanting to pick up a magazine loader. It will be used on S&W M&P and Shield magazines. I know folks speak highly of the uplula but wanted to check with the fine folks here first. Thanks in advance.

I'm very happy with my Uplula. Well, mostly happy. I always seem to flick the locking button on mine when using it and lock it shut. I should probably just rip it off so its not an issue.

Uplula works fine for me but I've never used anything else. If you are looking to load 22LR magazines check their website. Some loaders only work on certain types of magazines.

I've owned an M&P for about 1.5 years now. Do these mags ever get to the point where you can load them without the use of tool? I own a few autos and every one of them can be loaded without the use of a special tool, not so on the M&P.

For some reason I can't see anyone in LE carrying an Upula in case they need to reload.

Just to save your fingers from getting sore at the range when you might load some magazines a bunch of times. Good for people who shoot a lot.

Thanks gents. I'll pick one up today. Should I get the attachment for single stacks to use with Shield mags?

I picked one up on sale at cabelas so I'm assuming it's not a knock off. I've not used it yet but I'll break it out for my next range trip. Thanks gents.

Please keep up posted. I've considered an Uplula for some time, but S&W recently sent me a Caldwell Mag Charger as part of their promotion when I bought my Shield. I've used it, and it works, but . . . . It worked much better with 9mm & Shield magazines than it seemed to with .45 and 1911 mags. Maybe I just need to fiddle with it more.
