I just received a couple of new MecGar magazines for my High Powers. The springs are STIFF. Loading is no fun. I've been planning on getting a loading aid anyway , and now seems like a good time.

Can anyone recommend a loading aid for that particular magazine? And/or , which loaders are adaptable to different magazines?

Thank you , 'Ski.

I use the Maglula as well, but be careful where you order it from. Apparently there are copies being sold on Amazon which are not of the same quality as the original. I'd recommend ordering from a reputable company that sells only the original.

Probably true, I got mine long ago before they were making knock offs.

From Maglula's web site:

Knockoff warning !
Low quality Chinese knockoffs of our patented UpLULA® universal pistol magazine loaders are often offered for sale on Amazon, eBay and elsewhere. If you suspect receiving a knockoff loader, please take few pictures of packaging and loader and send it to [email protected]. We’ll let you know knockoff or genuine.

Please shop at local gun stores you trust and from companies we ship to direct: Academy, Brownells, MidwayUSA, Cabela’s , BassPro,Dick’s Sporting Goods, Gander Outdoors, Turner’s , CheaperThanDirt, ShopRuger.

Be cautious of knockoffs at weekend gun shows and markets. Some Chinese knockoffs are very similar to our own deceivingly having ‘UpLULA’ and ‘Made in Israel’ embedded in them and packed in blisters similar to ours.

In the interest of trying to determine real vs knock off , I was looking at -

https://www.amazon.com/Up-LULA-Heckler-Koch-Speed-Loader/dp/B01MTW05RV/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3ERCTPVFF1BL&dchild=1&keywords=maglula+magazine+loader+9mm&qid=1580328687&sprefix=maglula+magazine+loader,aps,239&sr=8-1

Just noticed - both ads state "Only 18 left..." Interesting coincidence.

These days I don't buy things off of Amazon unless it is sold by Amazon, the manufacturer directly or a known vendor. Amazon prime and 3rd party sellers are becoming as bad as Ebay for fake stuff.

The UpLula for Double Stacks is $30 at Academy if you have one. I'm always giving mine away to one of the lady's at the range.
I keep one in the range bag just in case. I don't use it much but it's a thumb saver when you get one of those new mags that wants to be difficult on loading the last few rounds (P365 comes to mind).

I'm sure it would be nice for one of those 1,000+ round classes as well. They do work and work well.

PS Academy has free shipping on items over $25 if you don't have one and can't find a cheaper reputable source.
