Considering how much activism is carried out on the internet, this sounds like something that all Maine residents should look at.
It may be superfluous, or it may not.
Just a heads-up.
Proposed Bill Would Protect "Network Neutrality"

"Network Neutrality" is a term that basically means the internet should remain free, uncensored, and open to all users. Tuesday, some computer professionals and free speech advocates joined forces to support a bill in the Maine legislature that would protect network neutrality.

They fear that recent federal rules changes will allow big corporations to dominate the web, while ordinary Americans and small businesses are censored or ignored. And they say they have widespread support.

"Religious groups, non-profits, bloggers, gamers, professors, businesses, all the consumer rights groups like Consumers Union and the Consumer Federation of America, groups like Move-On.org and the Christian Coalition, the National Organization for Women and the Gun Owners of America, people on the right and on the left saying that net neutrality is critical for our democracy, our economy and for our communities," said Jon Bartholomew from Common Cause Maine.

The bill, LD 1675, is sponsored by state senator Ethan Strimling of Portland.
