Just been reading about the biggest ever manhunt in the UK, that of barry Prudom that took place over 17 days in 1982.

The murder (of a policeman), which happened on June 17, 1982, was the start of an 18-day rampage by Prudom in which he killed another two men, Sgt David Winter, 31, of Malton, and electrician George Luckett, 52, of Girton near Lincoln.
He eventually turned his gun on himself after a confrontation with police marksmen in Malton.
Prudom, who was married in Horsforth, apparently developed a dislike of policemen after mistakingly believing his wife had left him for a former policeman.
His reign of terror sparked a
nationwide police hunt that went from Otley to Garforth, Newark, Dalby Forest, near Pickering, and eventually to Malton.
It was in Malton, where he had been holding a family prisoner in their own home, that he was eventually cornered by police marksmen near the village tennis courts.

Wondered what you guys had experienced, maybe been part of, and what the largest ever manhunt in the US was. Figured there are a few LEO's and soldiers around here.

Andrew Phillip Cunanan sparked a pretty large manhunt across many states.

I think either Eric Rudolph (supposed Olympic Park bomber) or Ted Kazynski (Unabomber) hold the record for longest man hunt. It also depends how you define man hunt, the cops knew they were looking for Rudolph, but they had no idea who the Unabomber was when they were looking for him (before his brother and sister-in-law told the cops about him after reading the manifesto).
