This thread reminds me I want a .22 magnum rifle lol. Which I don't think any have been submitted yet.

bds, any feeding problems with the Aquila ammo in your semi auto?
No feeding problem with factory 10 and Butler Creek 25 round magazines with either Eley or Aguila prime 40 gr CP RN HV. Also no issues with Aguila 40 gr Lead RN SV.

And no feeding issues in my ARs with CMMG 22LR conversion bolts (I only shoot copper plated RN/HP in my ARs).

As comparison, I also do not have issues with Federal 36 gr CP HP (Walmart 550 bulk pack)/38 gr CP HP (Field Pack) but have experienced inconsistent ignition (Different sounds of "pop") and bolt cycling/feeding issues with Remington Thunderbolt in my 10/22. And of course, no issues with CCI Standard/Champion/Blazer 40 gr Lead RN in 10/22.

FINALLY the weather broke for at least part of a day. Rain last night, partly sunny 60° light wind. rain coming back tonight for 3 more days. Had to get a new pistol set up so I grabbed 2 heavy weights.
1948 Win 75 with an original Liechert 10x scope
CZ 452 Varmint with a Tasco 6-24x scope set for 10x. Both shot very well as posted below. Might need help scoring the x's

Might need help scoring the x's[/QUOTE]

I can't click to expand the photos closer pics would help, also what ammo was used? Great shooting

NOOOO!!!! I was hoping not enough people would try shooting offhand with optics!

Oh well... second in my division counts for something... right?

I pulled out the pellet gun and put a scope on it so I can practice on the hornets in the backyard, hoping to get some good practice for the next standing unsupported match...

Oh well. Good shooting!

You can always try again, I might

Members can submit with a different gun but once a target has been submitted no duplicates or second tries are allowed. Believe me I'd like to try again with my 581 rested for class 3 and post a better target but it is what it is

Good to know, I'll have to dig deeper into the safe.

Alright I looked hard at them, hard to pinpoint exactly what is what in the shredded sections but what I see is the CZ with 100-6X and the Winchester 75 with 100-5X, I used photoshop to circle what I see , anyone think that I'm wrong we will revisit this but I'm calling it that for ford8nr unless.

Actually you have the targets reversed.
Win should be 6x
CZ should be 5x
That's what I saw when I scored them. Basically I counted what I could see that wasn't a X.

Actually it looks like you scored them both 6x

Still more choices to choose from

Target for the CZ you posted I marked X in the circles and I see 6-X. Target for the Winchester where I circled as two shots I see one touching the X ring and four shots in the X-ring . It is the best I can determine either way you are now in the lead with 100-6X and tied with another entry for the 100-5X.

Some of the rifles in your last pic of 4 rifles, looks to say qualify for class 5 only, is the Ruger semi auto a custom shop?

Top rifle is a Kimber 82G - midlevel target rifle equivalent to a low end Anschutz or Win 52.
10/22 is a STOCK LVT

I now do most of my 22LR plinking with my 16"/18"/20" ARs with CMMG 22LR conversion kits so I will repeat the 50 yard Class 3 with them and post results.
Here is my 20" Bushmaster HBAR with 1:9 twist barrel and CMMG 22LR conversion bolt. Don't worry about all the "evil" features, it is a "Registered AW".

As many are aware, shooting 22LR in .223/5.56 barrels is not ideal for producing accuracy. Groups, rather shotgun patterns, from 16"/18" barrels were much larger and group/pattern from 20" barrel was the smallest.

I am thinking about trying different torque setting on my 10/22 Take Down action screw to see if I get smaller groups
So I tried tightening the action screw on my 10/22 Take Down based on the video on post #124 - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...10-shot-challenge.848356/page-5#post-11107963

The Allen head bolt was rather loose and as I tightened, group size got smaller (Depending on the ammo)
Members can submit with a different gun but once a target has been submitted no duplicates or second tries are allowed ... it is what it is
Since I can't submit a second target after action screw was tightened, I won't.

FYI, I did re-shoot 50 yard 10 shot groups with same ammunition (with no part of forearm touching the front rest) and got significantly smaller group with Federal 36 gr CP HP (Which I did not submit as group, rather pattern size was too big). Interestingly, after the action screw was tightened, Aguila prime produced smaller group than Eley prime.
