I already have had success with the laser cast 240g RNFP sized .431" and ran into a deal on the 200g .431" RNFP. For 44 Mag I'm currently using 2400 and Unique, which is what I have on hand in quantities. From poking around for load data it looks like 13g Unique max for the 200g bullet weight and 24g for 2400.

I use Unique to run the 240g RNFP to 1400 fps and 2400 to run the same bullet to 1650 fps with good accuracy and minimal leading. I've never run a 200g bullet in 44 Mag so I have no idea what to expect for velocity/charge.

Any experiences to share on a 200g cast bullet with Unique and 2400 in a 20" barrel?

Just to necro-answer this...

RNFP 200g .431 cast loaded with 10g of Unique at a COL of 1.57 averages 1447 fps in my 1894 20". Sub 2" groups at 100 yards, minimal recoil, no leading.

Fun load, keeper.

Sounds like a nice plinker load in the carbine. I've been using a 180 grain RNFP for my light .44 Magnum loads in an 8 3/8" Model 629. I may give it a try in one of my .44 Carbines.
