Marlin 336 front sight plug screws

Does anybody know the size screws I will need to plug the holes on a Marlin 336 if I remove the front sight? Thanks

ive called all 3 companies before for hard to find parts.

i would suggest to call marlin but customer service is lacking these days.

im sure someone will know on this forum.

Take it to a gun smith, have him pull one and just get that size, only shorter. Midway has a box of gun screws available, I bought one awhile back, they have many different sizes in the box, it helped me.

The sight ramp holes should be 6-48 thread I think.
The receiver holes are 8-40.
