Anyone have any good or bad comments on this model? I'm looking at getting a bolt action 12 ga. shotgun and narrowed it down to Mossberg, Savage or Marlin.
I had a Slugmaster for about two years. I am sorry that I sold it. It was a good reliable gun.
Good: Reliability was 100%. I never had a problem with it. It was easy to clean and care for. I got my best results with 2 3/4" brenekke rotweiler (spelling?) slugs.
Bad: Factory magazines were limited to two slugs. No aftermarket mags were available. It was hard to load some brands of 3" slugs (Winchester I think) into the mags because of their length. Once loaded they functioned perfectly. 2 3/4" slugs were no problem to load in the mags.
