Well I seem to be having some issues getting the riffle to cycle properly. Basically when it cycles the bolt back the spent shell is not getting ejected. I have polished the feed ramp and I did a little polishing on the Cartridge Lifter.

I cleaned every thing up good but the pictures I have were before I cleaned the bolt up.

I would really love to get this thing working in tip top shape again as its fun to shoot and cheap to shoot.

If any one has any ideas after seeing the pictures please let me know.

It is possibly that there is a bur on the chamber that is causing problems, Brownells sells a tool to iron them out.
But it seems your left extractor has the tip broke off, both sides should match in wear. Get some cleaner in there and make sure that they both move back and forth freely and the springs have equal tension. Mumrich has the parts you will need.

If you have extraction problems try this. While you have the clean bolt out of the gun take a round and put it against the bolt face behind the extractors and point it down and shake a little. The extractors should hold the round in place lightly. I would replace the extractor on the right in the picture. Make sure the slots in the barrel where the extractors go are clean, use a pick to get the junk out it will be tough. Then clean the chamber no need to polish. Check to see if a round placed in the fresh cleaned chamber will drop free when the barrel is pointed up. If not you may have a dry fire burr.
Polishing the ramp and lifter won't effect extraction or ejection.
The extractors should move freely and spring back smartly when moved outward.

If I shoot Wally bulk ammo in my 60 I get this problem too. I have to use CCI minimags. Also, It seems like the remington bulk has a "waxy" coating which dirties my chamber up quickly and slows the cycling speed.... Maybe this helps I hope...

I wondered about the one extractor clip being broken. Both sides seam to be the same pressure to open them.

Now should it eject the spent casing before the bolt starts moving forward again?

Hello,
your rifle is incorrectly assembled. You need to have the other end of cartridge lifter spring on the narrow groove on top of the aluminum housing, not inside it as in pic 4 from inside. Case rim will hit the spring tip when bolt is retracting, and it will eject from extractor claws. If trouble persists after reassembly, try bending spring slightly upwards and file the tip flat if its rounded from wear.

holly crap I think your right. I looked at the notch in that thing and wondered for the longest time why it was there. Well I will put it up there and see if that fixes it.

Well I think thats got it. I moved the spring back to where it should be and now its ejecting like it should. At some point I will get that extractor replaced but for now I think its going to work.

Good to hear that it works now. As you may already know, the extractor is necessary only for removal of an unfired cartridge, if you can accomplish that
then theres no need to fix it. During firing cycle, the case will come out by pressure, not by extractor. You might try filing the hook into shape, you can't lose if you try as you're going to replace the claw anyway.

It seems to pull unfired rounds out just fine but a trip to the range will let me know if its working 100%
