Hi all,

I want to get the wooden forearm off my M39A. I have gotten the forearm tip and tenon loose, but the forearm does not budge because the forearm tip tenon is jammed tight against the forearm.

Is the secret to remove the magazine tube band pin and remove the tube?

Be VERY careful when reassembling the Model 39-A forearm cap screws.

It's extremely easy to cross thread the screws. Since the cap doesn't want to fit back into position against the wood easily cross threading is easy to do.

You see a lot of Marlin's with the cap screws cross threaded and in at an angle.
