Marlin model 882 SSV in 0.22WMR

Would welcome some info on this rifle please. Looking at a 2nd hand model here in the UK.
When did Marlin cease to make this model.
Is the barrel "choked" at the muzzle as I wish to shorten the barrel to 16" but do not wish to loose accuracy (many 0.22 barrels are choked at the muzzle. Shortening them ruins accuracy).
The barrel is micro grooved. Must I use Cu jacketed rounds.
Is it an accurate 50 or 100 yard rifle ??

I have one in stainless I bought in 1997. With good ammo it does about 1 MOA at 100 meters. About all I can tell you about it.
